Bridge 53 North Oxford Canal
Willow Wren have been providing narrowboat holidays for almost 60 years, which means we are probably the most experienced operator on the canal network. We doubt there is anything we have not encountered or been asked before but we welcome a challenge so give us a call, we are sure we can help.
We are a family owned canal boat hire company offering top quality, modern, self-drive narrowboats. Our boats range from two berth up to 12 berths and are flexible in layout to accommodate the most demanding of requirements. We have layouts ideal for couples, families and groups and pets are always welcome.
We are based at the historic Rugby Wharf, just off Junction 1 of the M6. We are ideally situated at the heart of the canal system with routes available to cruise the shire counties across the midlands and beyond to London or the north of England. Our narrow-boats are available for hire all year round.
All our narrowboats are fully insulated and have central heating – some also have wood burning stoves for those cosy winter evenings and all are fully equipped and fitted out to the highest standard to ensure you have the most enjoyable holiday possible.
Our usual collection and return days are Friday, Saturday and Monday but we can vary start days and length of hire to suit you, please just ask and we will do our best to accommodate. We can hire you a boat for a two night break or even a three month or six month adventure and everything in between.

"We had a fantastic boating holiday thanks to the team at WW. It was our first time and we couldn’t have chosen a better hire company. From booking to handing the boat back we knew the team would be there to answer any questions and offer help if needed. Brilliant communication. The boat was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable holiday. We appreciated household supplies which helped us maintain that sparkling cleanliness we had the first day. Bedding was more luxurious than we have at home.
